  • The Project:

    This former Public House “The Waterline” is situated on the busy Quayside area of Newcastle. Major refurbishment was undertaken in June 2016.

    The project undertaken was the installation of a fully functional main kitchen on the ground floor level. A further kitchen situated on the 1st floor kitchen area. As there were domestic residential flats above this area additional considerations were required. Odour control, noise and fire protection prior to the design.

    Despite the challenges and demanding time constraints of the completion of the project our team R S Vents and Gastro North manufactured, installed and delivered ahead of the timescale set for the project.

The Project – Commercial Kitchen Ventilation at The Jolly Fisherman, Newcastle Upon Tyne

🏗️ The Project

Formerly known as The Waterline, this well-known public house on Newcastle’s bustling Quayside underwent a major refurbishment in June 2016. The brief included the installation of a fully functional commercial kitchen on the ground floor to support a complete food service offering.

RS Vents Ltd worked alongside Gastro North to design and supply a full commercial ventilation package. Due to the building’s configuration, including residential flats above, extra design considerations were taken into account for odour control, fire safety, and noise reduction.

Results

Despite access limitations and tight deadlines, the RS Vents team delivered and installed the full system ahead of schedule. The result was a modern, regulation-compliant kitchen fit-out that met both the functional needs of the venue and strict environmental standards for urban hospitality projects.
